thoughts for school
I came across this post by Andrew Karpathy in which he basically says to treat school as a slight inconvenience. Rather than obsessing over getting top marks, he suggests aiming for an 85% and using the extra time to pursue personal projects, gain real-world experience, or simply enjoy life.
I've found this so helpful in my own life, doing only school started to suck the life out of me, so i picked up side projects and limited school to max 2 hours a day.
It's counterintuitive; you would think that doing side projects in addition to school would be harder than doing only school, but it turns out that having something to be excited about fuels the other aspects of your life.
